Global Perspectives in Higher Education: Israel

In addition to meeting on campus in N.Y., students will participate in a two-week field trip in Israel that will provide an in-depth case study of its higher education system. Includes lectures from scholars and visits to 8 Israeli colleges and universities to meet with faculty, administrators, and students. Additional sessions will be held with directors of the national Council on Higher Education and a recent government commission on the future of higher education. Topics will include curricular options; admissions requirements; distribution of students by class and ethnic group; college climate and services offered.

Tuition (Regular NYU Spring tuition plus fees), Housing and activities fee: $1250
Only housing & activities fee due before the trip (Nov. 15th, 2007). Spring tuition due February 1, 2008.

Flight or Travel Information
A bus will take students from the international airport in Tel Aviv to Haifa the morning of January 4. If you travel independently, arrive in Haifa by 5:00 pm on January 4. You can leave Tel Aviv on January 17.
Weather
In January, the average high is 64o F and the average low 49o F. January and February are the rainy months, so be prepared.
