Alumni Bio Dinesh Mathew

Dinesh Mathew (M.A., Music Business, 2003)

Dinesh is currently a senior analyst in the Research and Planning department at MTV. He graduated from NYU with a Masters in Music Business in May 2003, and joined MTV soon after.

Before coming to NYU, Dinesh spent 6 years at Procter & Gamble, with the last 3 years in consumer research. While at NYU, he interned for a small artist management company, as well as EMI Music Publishing. However, it was after doing his final Colloquy class research paper on consumer research practices of the record industry that Dinesh decided to go back into consumer research: this time at MTV.

While at NYU, Dinesh was involved in developing the Music Business Student Ambassador Board. He also worked part-time for an independent record label while in school.
