HEPR Suspends Service on October 1, 2003

Alyson Taub and Mark Tomita created Health Education Professional Resources (HEPR) at New York University in 1996. It includes a job bank and information about the health education profession. This has been a free service for users. The website has been maintained by NYU graduate students in health education who worked 40 hours per week and were paid by NYU. Alyson Taub and Mark Tomita contributed 10 hours per week in administrative support of the website.

After seven years of operation, the developers of the website have decided to re-direct their professional contributions. Mark Tomita is now an Assistant Professor at California State University at Chico and editor of the online journal, California Journal of Health Promotion. Alyson Taub is moving into a new administrative position with school-wide responsibilities as a Special Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs at New York University, Steinhardt School of Education.

We know from feedback from users of HEPR that many have benefited from the website over the past seven years. It has been our pleasure to make this contribution to the health education profession.
